3.5.13. Oil pump

Tightening of screws of fastening of the oil pump


Removal

The oil pump is located in a chain cover therefore removal of the oil pump is made along with a chain cover.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew screws and uncover the pump an internal part of a cover of a chain.
2. Using a marker, note a relative positioning of an internal and external rotor of the oil pump. Remove an internal rotor of the oil pump.
3. Remove an external rotor of the oil pump.
4. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of the safety valve of pressure from the chain cover basis
5. Take a spring, the plug (it is specified by an arrow in the drawing at the left) and a plunger of the safety valve of pressure (the drawing on the right), remove a sealing ring from a bolt.
6. Unscrew a safety valve bolt from a back part of a cover of a chain.
7. Remove a spring and a pusher of the valve of safety.
8. Clear all details of the oil pump and investigate rotors and pushers of valves on existence of wear or development. If necessary replace worn-out details.
9. Collect the oil pump in the sequence, the return dismantling, taking into account the next moments:
      – check that rotors are established according to earlier put tags;
      – establish new sealing rings to bolts of fastening of the safety valve and valve of safety;
      – tighten screws of fastening of a cover of the oil pump the required moment;
      – fill the pump with engine oil, turning at the same time an internal rotor of the oil pump.

Installation

Install a chain cover on the engine.
